UVA International Art Prize


The UVA International Art Prize (University of Verona for Art), initiated by Roberto Pasini, is hosted by the University of Verona,  under the patronage of Verona’s City and Verona’s Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with the Academy of Fine Arts of Verona and ARTantide Gallery.

The Prize aims to promote and enhance the photographic image, understood as an artist’s product and as a photographer’s product. It is separated into two sections, each with two categories.

The theme is open

How to enter

There is no entrance fee, the competition is open to everyone, both professionals and amateurs.

The contenstant must send 3 different works, by email to premiouva@ateneo.univr.it in JPEG each being no greater than 2MB.
With the photographs the following must be included: title, year, size (maximum 150 cm x 150 cm) and technique.
The section you want to enter must also be indicated, entries must be submitted no later than 10.03.2018.
The following must also be included: surname (last name), name (first name), date of birth, place of birth, residence, a brief profile of contestant, e-mail address.

Each of the  judges will select one finalist from each category, and from these finalists, 4 will be chosen as winners by the Artistic Director and this will be announced on the 30.3.2018.

Prizes and Exhibition

The Winners of Art and Photograph Professional Section will receive a prize of 2,000 euro each.
The Winners of Art and Photograph Amateur Section will receive a prize of 500 euro each.
The four winners will have their works exbibited in Verona.


The works will also be published in a catalogue.





We do not accept any liability for any damage to any work or person.

Each prize winner is responsable for the shipping and insurance of their work.

Each winner shall, without reserve give the Univeristy of Verona the right to reproduce the work and authorize the processing of personal data for the exclusive purpose of the Prize.

Photographs that reproduce recognizable faces must be accompanied by a waiver.

Partecipation in the Prize involves acceptance of requirements.

The Artistic Director reserves the right to make changes to the Competition if necessary.
